  • 113 gms unsalted butter softened
  • 100 gms brown sugar packed
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugar:

  • In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Add Vanilla Extract:

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

Form Dough Balls & Flatten:

  • Take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  • Use the back of a fork or your palm to gently flatten each dough ball.

Cool:

  • Allow the oat biscuits to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy:

  • Once cooled, your simple oat biscuits are ready to be enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee.
